How long will I need to be in therapy?

Psychotherapy can be short or long term. Some people want to come for a short time and have weekly sessions over a three or six month period to resolve a specific issue. After this they may want to go deeper or leave it as it is. Others may want to take more time to uncover the underlying patterns and feelings that are triggering symptoms and behaviours they no longer want or to work though complex and layered issues. This takes much longer and can be anything from two years onwards
